Well I did not get the reward for the competition. But I am planning the make the most of the site. So I am going to use it as my travel journal. I love travelling to many places. And I also like every part of the travelling things. Like planning the travel, learning about the tradition and accomodations, everything.

I have travelled mostly in China region, like Beijing, Guangzhou, Hainan, Hong Kong etc. China is a very big, huge country. Everything in there is enormous. And the scenery is breathtaking. The history is also an interesting part of the travel.

Beijing is the capital city of China. There are so many tourist sites in there. Like the Great Wall which also have many entrances considering the size of it. The Tian An Men is an enormous palace. And Also there is Yi He Yuan the Palace Garden is a very beautiful and oversized garden.

In Guang Zhou, the weather is more tropical, which is why I like it more. If you love shopping, you would want to stay near the Beijing Lu which is the shopping central of the city. And Guang Zhou alaso have this garden where they keep Guang Zhou symbol statue, Liu Hua Gong Yuan

In Hainan, there are beautiful beaches and exotic coffee. The dance ritual is also interesting, you can try it when you get there. In Shen Zhen there is Windows of the World which is a garden that keep all the famous sites in the whole world in miniature scale. While in Hong Kong, my most favorite place to go is Disneyland.

Japan ia a land rich with culture. I really wanted to visit the parks, mountains and castles. Also contrast it with Tokyo as the most modern capital and try all the high tech transportation there.

For parks I will go to Yakushima — UNESCO World Heritage site with enormous cedars and misty primeval forests and Shiretoko National Park — unspoiled wilderness at Hokkaido’s northeasternmost tip. And also take a walk in the midst thousands of cherry blossoms in Yoshimo

For Mountains I want to visit Mount Fuji, iconic snow-topped volcano, and highest peak in Japan (3776 m).

For Castles I want to visit Osaka Casle and Takeda Castle.

And after that I will visit Tokyo and explore the city. Taste the sake and enjoy the ramen. But the most important place to visit is DISNEYLAND! I always wanted to go to Disneylands all over the world…

New York City is a center for media, culture, food, fashion, art, research, finance, and trade. It has one of the largest and most famous skylines on earth, dominated by the iconic Empire State Building.

New York had 5 big areas like:
Manhattan (New York County), The famous island between the Hudson and East Rivers, with many diverse and unique neighborhoods. Manhattan is home to the Empire State Building in Midtown, Central Park, Times Square, Wall Street, Harlem, and the trendy neighborhoods of Greenwhich Village and SoHo.

Brooklyn (Kings County). The most populous borough, and formerly a separate city. Located south and east of Manhattan across the East River. Known for artists, music venues, beaches, and Coney Island.

Queens (Queens County). U-shaped and located to the east of Manhattan, across the East River, and north, east, and south of Brooklyn. Queens is the home of the city’s two international airports, the New York Mets professional baseball team, the United States Open Tennis Center, and New York City’s second-largest Chinatown. With over 140 languages spoken, Queens is the most ethnically diverse region in the United States, and one of the most diverse in the world.

The Bronx (Bronx County). Located north of Manhattan Island, the Bronx is home to the Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Gardens, and the New York Yankees professional baseball team.

Staten Island (Richmond County). A large island in New York Harbor, south of Manhattan and just across the narrow Kill Van Kull from New Jersey. Unlike the rest of New York City, Staten Island has a suburban character.

New York City is among the world’s most important and influential cities. It is home to many world-class museums, art galleries, and theaters. This city’s influence on the globe, and all its inhabitants, is hard to overstate, as decisions made within its boundaries often have impacts and ramifications across the world.

Since the size of the city is quite big and the time span is not, the journey will be focused to famous places. Visiting NY Stock Exchange, NY City Hall, Carnegie Hall. And since I love books very much, visiting NY Public Library is a must. New York Hall of Science looks fun too.

Strolling around the Central Park. And also tasting the famous food of New York. Like NY bagel, NY Hot Dog, NY Deli Sandwich, NY Pizza and NY Cheesecake

City of my dreams…

Italy is well known for the extraordinary delicious food. That is why this post is focused on the food. I love good food, fine dining

Breakfast in Italy: A very light, often just a cappuccino or coffee with a pastry (cappuccino e brioche) or a piece of bread and fruit jam. There will be no large breakfast.. A small espresso coffee is considered much more appropriate for digestion. Another enjoyable Italian breakfast item is cornetto (pl. cornetti): a croissant or light pastry often filled with jam, cream or Nutella.

Lunch is considered very important in Italy, so there will be 2 hours break in the lunch time, One hour is for lunch and one hour for napping. This is called “pausa pranzo” or lunch break. Pizza has significant regional variations in Italy, like that of Naples has a thick, soft crust while that of Rome is thinner and crustier.

Dinner is generally taken late. In the summer, if you are in a restaurant before 8pm you are likely to be eating on your own, and it is quite normal to see families with young children still dining after 10pm. Because when eating outdoors before nightfall there are more problems with insect interference.

To taste list:

Risotto – Aroborio rice that has been sautéed and cooked in a shallow pan with stock. The result is a very creamy and hearty dish. Meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and cheeses are almost always added depending on the recipe and the locale. Many restaurants will have a signature risotto or at least style of risotto, in addition or in place of a signature pasta dish (risotto alla Milanese is a famous Italian classic).

Arancini – Balls of rice with tomato sauce, eggs, and cheese that are deep fried. They are a southern Italian specialty, though are now quite common all over.

Polenta – Yellow corn meal (yellow grits) that has been cooked with stock. It is normally served either creamy, or allowed to set up and then cut into shapes and fried or roasted. Usually eaten with deer or boar meat.

Gelato This is the Italian word for ice cream. The non-fruit flavors are usually made only with milk. Gelato made with water and without dairy ingredients is also known as sorbetto.

Tiramisù Italian cake made with coffee, mascarpone, and ladyfingers (sometimes rum) with cocoa powder on the top. The name means “pick-me-up”.

Pizza in Naples and all other pizzerie

Pasta and Cheese

Wines in Chianti

Slovenian beer

Limoncello and Grappa

Italian Coffee

Wonder if I have enough space in my stomach to eat all that

But since the cost is still way above my reach, I can only dream about it at least for now.

Exploring the canals in Venice and taking pictures a long the way.Wander around in cities like Rome and tasting the gelato. Exploring the independent city-state and seat of the Pope, head of the Roman Catholic Church

And if the time is enough, visiting Bologna, one of the world’s great university cities that is filled with history, culture, technology and food would be a treat. And Lake Garda, a beautiful lake in Northern Italy surrounded with many small villages

France is located in Western Europe and has lots and lots of tourist sites to go to. Like in Normandy (Northern France) a region where the world wars have many scars. You can visit St Joseph’s church, Hotel de Vile (UNESCO World Heritage List), Place du General de Gaulle, Mont Saint Michel. But since the time is limited in each destination, so I might focus only on Paris.

And talking about Paris, my mind always go to Eifell Tower. The first time I saw it is in Shen Zhen, the replica of course. And that day, I told myself, someday I will go to the real one. And that is where I will go first in France.

Disneyland Paris. I know I am not a kid anymore, but the first Disneyland I visited is the one in Hong Kong. And that experience is one of my favorite experience while I was visiting Hong Kong. And they say that Disneyland Hongkong is the smallest Disneyland, I wonder what Disneyland in Paris is going to be like? Hmmm, can’t wait

Futuroscope, a multimedia and cinematographic theme park with 3D cinemas among other attractions

And then off to The Louvre Museum which is one of the finest museums in the world of art, art-history, and culture. Home of the Mona Lisa.

Notre Dame Cathedral is the landmark cathedral of Gothic architecture. Setting of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”

Arc de Triomphe is the iconic triumphal arch forms the focus of the main east-west road axis of Paris.

Versailles Palace is France’s most exquisite chateau. Was once the home to Louis XIV.

Boarding a train from Paris to Lyon and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the way…
And in Lyon France’s second city with a history from Roman times to the Resistance, exploring the whole city

And for the cities, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and exploring London the largest metropolitan area in Western Europe, and a global capital of finance, fashion and culture

Exploring Nottingham— “Queen of the Midlands”, home of Robin Hood, Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle.
